Massage therapist opens Naselle clinic

“People think massage is an extravagance, a luxury, but I’ve seen amazing results. I’m here to really help the community,” said Bryon Parrino, a nationally certified massage therapist.

Parrino has opened the Naselle Massage Clinic at 5 Appello Lane.

“Finding restrictions and helping people get their range of motion back is a bit like solving a puzzle,” said Parrino. “It can be a lot of fun.”

Parrino trained at the Oklahoma Health Academy in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and moved to Rosburg in March to be near his family.

Parrino said he has “had the privilege of working with many people who thought they needed surgery or lots of drugs just to be able to function normally,” but that massage brought them relief. Two of those were his parents, Thom and Ann Parrino.

Parrino said one of the reasons he went into the field was to help people suffering from stress.

“I don’t think stressed and hurting people make as good decisions…if more people got massaged regularly, we’d all live in a better world,” he said.

Parrino offers deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, sports massage, pressure point therapy for $50 per hour, and chair massage for $1 per minute, at his office or in the community .

Parrino is holding a Grand Opening on Saturday, October 22, where he’ll offer free raffle tickets. The tickets will be good for $15 off a massage anytime in the next year. Prizes include free massages and a gift basket.

The clinic will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Saturday by appointment. Parrino hopes to take his massage chair into the community on Thursdays.
