Coach Marie Riley reported: Though we passed through the rain on our way to Kalama, and hints of it were in the air when we arrived, the clouds burned off and the sun shone through for a dry run. The course was muckier than in previous trips; larger puddle to maneuver, muddier hill to climb, loose rocks not to slip on.

The middle school had a strong showing with over 50 runners in the race, running 1.4 miles. These kids are getting stronger and stronger and it shows each week in the effort that they put out. It is exciting to see.

The high school boys race featured approximately 86 runners from 11 different schools, running three miles. It was their privilege to negotiate the muddy mess twice. There were some outstanding runners from the 1A division, so there was stiff competition. We head back to Ilwaco next Tuesday where we will finally have a 5th runner and a complete team with the eligibility of Adam Vasion. We are looking forward to that!

The Mules head to Millersylvania State Park today (Thursday); a home meet set for today was cancelled.
