September 12--2:39 p.m. A Rosburg man reported a woman had violated a protection order; an officer learned the order had expired in June. 6:36 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a woman having a stroke; Lifeflight Helicopter was also dispatched for rapid transport to a hospital. 11:12 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island woman with abdominal pain.
September 13--2:36 a.m. A caller said he would be repossessing a pickup from a Cathlamet resident. 8:57 a.m. An East Valley resident reported neighbors were cutting up trees she had fallen. 9:23 a.m. A Puget Island caller reported a scam by a person claiming to represent Social Security and needing bank account information. 4:40 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island resident with breathing trouble. 9:48 p.m. An East Valley resident reported a girl had been beaten; a person was taken into custody. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid the victim.
September 14--5:09 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a baby with breathing trouble. 9:16 p.m. A motorist reported seeing a vehicle run off SR 4 on KM; the motorist returned to the scene and learned the vehicle's brakes had failed and the owners had arranged a tow.
September 15--2:25 a.m. Officers investigated a violation of the county's dangerous dog ordinance at a Westend residence in a case that is under investigation. 7:48 a.m. A West Sunny Sand resident reported a farmer's cattle were loose again and in a neighbor's yard; the herd's owner was contacted. 10:53 a.m. A caller reported people who were camping along Beaver Creek Road were creating a huge mess; an officer made contact, and the campers cleaned up. 12:38 p.m. A Westend resident reported someone had broken into his residence and stolen all appliances. 8:26 p.m. A motorist reported a truck had run into a ditch along SR 4 west of Grays River and people were leaving the scene with stuff from the vehicle; the state patrol was notified. 9:21 p.m. A caller said a man had struck a woman on the head; the man was taken into custody. 10:30 p.m. A caller said a man was threatening people in a Cathlamet residence; a deputy investigated.
September16--7:27 p.m. An officer arrested a driver in Rosedale for driving while being intoxicated. 8:14 p.m. A caller said he and a woman had had an argument and she had left with his young daughter, taking a vehicle without permission; officers were advised.
September 17--2:47 p.m. A caller said her goats had escaped and she thought someone had started shooting at them in the woods. 3:58 p.m. A caller reported finding a Honda Civic abandoned on a logging road; an officer learned the vehicle had been stolen, and it was recovered.
September 18--2:15 a.m. A Puget Island resident reported a vehicle had run off South Welcome Slough Road and hit a utility pole, knocking out electricity; an officer, Wahkiakum PUD and the Cathlamet ambulance responded; the driver refused transport for injuries but was taken into custody for driving while being intoxicated. 6:19 a.m. A Westend resident reported a pickup had been parked on posted private property without permission; it was gone when an officer arrived. 11:45 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale woman with breathing trouble. 1:14 p.m. A motorist reported a fallen tree was blocking the Altoona-Pillar Rock Road. 7:33 and 8:49 p.m. motorists reported that rocks and fallen limbs were covering SR 4 between Mileposts 39 and 44. 10:29 p.m. A Cathlamet resident complained that he is being harassed by a Fish and Wildlife officer; he was referred to that agency's command.
