August 30--12:41 a.m. Officers responded to the Elochoman Valley Road where a young driver had rolled a pickup; the driver and passenger were taken to a hospital in a private vehicle; an officer investigated.6:48 a.m. A Skamokawa resident reported a white Jeep had run into a sign during the night, and it was still there; the vehicle was gone when an officer arrived. 10:04 a.m. A caller reported a dog was killing chickens at a residence east of Cathlamet. 11:07 a.m. A caller said a trailer had been parked illegally in Cathlamet; an officer contacted the owner, and it was moved. 11:20 a.m. A caller said someone had apparently abandoned a station wagon near Wahkiakum High School.
August 31--9:35 p.m. A caller reported he would be repossessing a Silverado at a Westend residence.
September1--8:13 a.m. A Puget Island resident said a farmer's cows were loose again and in the caller's yard; the herd's owner was contacted and told he would be fined for not confining the animals. 9:11 a.m. A caller reported a cabin cruiser had been left moored to a piling near Nassa Point; the Coast Guard was notified. 11:06 a.m A Hungry Highway resident reported someone had abandoned a stolen vehicle; an officer investigated. 12:13 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale woman who was very ill. 12:49 p.m. A driver was arrested at a vehicle stop. 1:34 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported people were having a domestic altercation; an officer investigated and found that three people were having a verbal argument. 6:29 p.m. A caller reported finding a burned hulk off Beaver Creek Road; an officer investigated and learned it was a car that had been reported stolen in Portland.
September 2-11:06 a.m. A caller reported a Skamokawa resident had violated a pretrial release order; a deputy investigated. 2:26 p.m. A caller said a vehicle had run into a building on Main Street. 2:37 p.m. A Puget Island resident said cows were loose and in his yard again. 5:19 p.m. A caller said a salvage company was working on a vehicle right on the Altoona-Pillar Rock Road; a deputy made contact, and the vehicle was removed. 5:30 p.m. An Ingalls Road resident said threatening and aggressive trespassers were trying to cross his property to cut firewood.
September 3--12:34 p.m. Officers and the Cathlamet ambulance responded to the intersection of SR 4 and Boege Road where two vehicles collided. 1:19 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported four vehicles had sped by his house recently; an officer ran a radar check and said all passing during the 30 minute period were 25-31 mph. 4:14 p.m The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a woman with breathing trouble. 5:50 p.m. A caller said a juvenile was refusing to return to foster parents; Children's Protective Services responded and took the child into custody. 6:19 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a man with bee stings. 7:55 p.m. A Cathlamet resident said two dogs got into his house and chewed up furnishing; an officer investigated it as a violation of town leash law. 11 p.m. A person reported a skiff seemed to be beached on the rocks below Steamboat Slough Road. 11:22 p.m. People reported that a man who had been drinking was starting fights with people on Main Street; an officer made contact; the Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a person with a cut head.
September 4--7:57 a.m. A caller reported that the cruiser moored near Nassa Point had capsized and the bow was sticking out of the water; an officer made contact with the owner. 3:36 p.m. A caller reported that people in a Blazer had been trespassing on private property along Grays River; an officer responded and found a Dodge minivan stuck in a river ford. 8:37 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a woman with breathing difficulty. 3:32 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a man with a bleeding problem.
September 5--6:29 a.m. A caller reported being assaulted by his boss at a Cathlamet business; witnesses said the caller had been hostile and started screaming when told he was fired.
