RESOLUTION NO. ______ -11
A RESOLUTION IMPOSING A LANE
RESTRICTION ON STEAMBOAT SLOUGH
ROAD AT MILEPOST 2.1
WHEREAS, based upon the report and recommendation of the County Engineer, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that the lane restriction on Steamboat Slough Road is necessary to protect the public safety; and
WHEREAS, Section 36.75.270 and Section 47.48010 of the Revised Code of Washington grants authority to the Board of County Commissioners to close lanes as necessary to protect the county road and to protect public safety;
NOW, THEREFORE:
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED, as follows:
Section 1: Effective immediately Steamboat Slough Road shall be limited to one lane traffic only at milepost 2.1.
Section 2: The lane restriction contained in Section 1 of this Resolution shall remain in effect until notice from the County Engineer.
Section 3: The County Engineer is directed to post signs indicating the lane restriction established in Section 1 of this Resolution.
Section 4: Upon posting of signs and publication of this Resolution in the Wahkiakum County Eagle any person violating the terms of this Resolution shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of August, 2011.
