Archive center plans swap meet

The Appelo Archive Center will hold a swap meet on September 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the AAC, 1056 SR 4, in Naselle. Vendor tables cost $20 each if the AAC provides them, $15 each if the vendor provides their own. Call (360/484-3376) or email Anita Raistakka (anita@finnam.naselle.net) to reserve a space.

Back to School night helps parents get ready

Parents are being asked to get ready for the school year by attending Back to School Night on September 1 and by reading school supply lists.

The Julius A. Wendt Elementary Back To School Night will be held in each teacher's classroom with ice cream and other sign up options in the multi-purpose room from 6 – 7 p.m. The John C. Thomas Middle School Curriculum Night will run from 7-7:30 p.m. in the MS gym. Students will have the opportunity to meet their new teacher, see classmates, hear about curriculum and classroom expectations, put away supplies, and enjoy some ice cream.

Students can still get lockers and parents can visit classrooms after the presentation in the gym.

Students make honor roll, graduate from WWU

Toni Marie Mullins of Naselle has made the honor roll for the spring quarter at Western Washington University with a GPA of 4.00.

Tobias Jerome David of Cathlamet graduated with a BA Economics and Colette Marie Beaulaurier of Naselle graduated with a BA Recreation.

Montana picnic enters 21st year

The 21st Annual Montana Picnic will be held August 27, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Those who have lived in Montana or visit Montana are welcome to the event which will be held at Horseshoe Park, in Woodland. It is a free potluck with an auction, and children’s games. For more information, visit http://www.MontanaPicnic.com.
