July 18--9:36 a.m. A caller said he left his wedding ring on a shelf at a Cathlamet park and it was stolen; a deputy made contact. 11:12 a.m. A caller said two men with a Toyota pickup were taking rock off the dike along South Welcome Slough Road. 11:26 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to transport a person from Cathlamet to a hospital. 2:44 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a person possibly having taken a drug overdose.
July 19--5:11 a.m. A Puget Island resident reported that a loud pickup that had been in his area when items were stolen was again in the neighborhood. 8:02 p.m. A caller at Erickson Park requested a deputy; children had been playing with an air gun and one was shot in the eye. 9:42 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported a juvenile was planning to run away; the child did leave at midnight but was located and taken home.
July 20--12:03 a.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported a cougar had just activated a motion light; the state Department of Fish and Wildlife was advised. 7:20 a.m. A caller reported someone had stolen a youth's pickup; the pickup was located parked in a different area. 7:55 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid an Altoona-Pillar Rock Road resident. 9:53 a.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported someone had broken into a shed and stole several chain saws. 7:54 p.m. A caller reported a credit card theft. 10:35 p.m. Officers investigated a 9-1-1 hang up call and learned a couple had had a verbal dispute. 11:03 a.m. A Rosedale resident reported a loud, explosion-like sound; officers investigated and concluded after talking to several people that someone had fired a gunshot.
July 21--12:34 p.m. A motorist reported that a red pickup heading to the KM Transfer Station was losing trash from its load. 2:03 p.m. A caller reported that someone had cut locks on bins at the KM Transfer Station and taken recycling items. 6:51 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a person with an unknown problem.
July 22--5:42 a.m. The dispatching center relayed to the US Coast Guard a report that a boat was half submerged at river marker 27. 2:56 p.m. A caller reported finding a GPS unit on a logging road. 4:15 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported a neighbor was blocking the road; an officer made contact; the caller reported later that the road was blocked again; an officer made contact again. 4:21 p.m. A deputy assisted a state trooper in arresting a man on Puget Island who was wanted in Oregon. 7:43 p.m. A Rosedale resident said a vehicle full of young people had run over mailboxes; a deputy made contact and found no sign that the vehicle was involved.
July 23--4:37 p.m. A motorist reported a red VW had run in the ditch along SR 4 at Milepost 42; no one was injured. 6:51 p.m. A Grays River resident reported two dogs had mauled her dog, requiring surgery and removal of part of the intestine; a deputy contacted the owner of the two dogs, which were impounded by the Humane Society. 8:28 p.m. A juvenile drinking party was reported at a location on Oneida Road; an officer made contact and found it was adults who said they would be quiet.
July 24--2:32 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet man with bad pain. 3:44 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet man who was very nauseous. 5:26 p.m. A caller said an older man had gone away from a group at Hornstra's Beach; an officer and Cathlamet firemen responded, and the man was found in a brushy area.
