An exhibit showcasing a rare Improved Order of Redmen WWII service flag and other vintage flags from the Friends of Skamokawa archives will open today (Thursday) in the lobby of the Redmen Hall and be on show until July 17.

The service flag has not been shown to the public before, owing to its delicate condition and likely will not be shown in the future. The exhibit also includes reproductions of the flag brought here in 1792 by Captain Gray and the 15 star, 15 stripe Star Spangled Banner brought here by Lewis and Clark in 1805, as well as photos showing flags in Wahkiakum County in recent years.

Redmen Hall at 1394 W. SR 4 is open noon to 4 p.m., Thursday through Sunday and will also be open from noon to 4 p.m. on the Independence Day Holiday.
