Daniel E. Miller

Daniel "Danny" Eugene Miller, 31, of Seaside, Ore. passed away on May 25, 2011 in Portland.

Danny was the first baby born in Clatsop County at 12:04 a.m. on January 1, 1980 at Columbia Memorial in Astoria. Danny came into this world smiling and never stopped, it was his goal to make people smile; he loved his life and always saw the good in everyone, and Danny never knew a stranger.

Danny was raised in Seaside and graduated from Seaside High School in 1999. Danny had a magical touch when it came to mechanics and went on to become a heavy equipment diesel mechanic. If you were lucky enough to know Danny you know he loved to tinker with his engines. He was currently in the process of a project with his nephew Corey. Danny loved his family and friends.

Cars, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, bowling and billiards were Danny's hobbies but the accomplishments he was most proud of were being a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Danny married the love of his life Kelly Weiss Miller on August 21, 2010, together they were blessed with daughter Lacey Marie, who brought both of their lives full circle and they truly were meant for each other.

The measure of a man equals Danny Miller. Danny was a simple man with many riches, his caring of others and a heart that was as big as his infectious smile. Danny's light may have been dimmed but his spirit lives on in all of us who were blessed to know and love him and in the donors that he has given second chances to.

In addition to his wife and daughter, Danny is survived by his parents, Sheree Waddell Larson and stepfather Mark Larson of Warrenton and his father Donald Miller, Sr., of Prineville; grandparents Elmer Miller of Astoria and Robert Larson of Grays River; six brothers and a sister and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial was held June 3; internment was at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for Lacey Miller, Danny and Kelly's daughter at any US Bank.
