Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

April 25--2:01 p.m. A Puget Island resident said a man might be pawning her property in Longview; she was asked to furnish a list so an officer could check. 4:18 p.m. Deputies, firemen and the Cathlamet ambulance were dispatched to Milepost 40 on SR 4 east of Cathlamet where pickup had run into the ditch, and a person had sustained minor injuries. 5:49 p.m. An East Valley resident reported catching a man going through someone else's belongings; an officer made contact. 8:36 p.m. A driver was arrested after a deputy stopped his vehicle.

April 26--9:55 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle was stuck in sand at Skamokawa Vista Park. 3:40 p.m. An officer reported learning of illegal drug activity. 4:09 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported discovering that someone had stolen a line trimmer and a lawn mower.

April 27--3:33 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported a person was talking about killing people; a mental health professional was notified. 8 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet man having chest pain. 9:15 p.m. A Little Island resident reported having a chimney fire; Puget Island firemen responded. 11:32 p.m. A Greenwood Road resident reported a man was harassing a woman; an officer made contact. 11:35 p.m. A Salmon Creek Valley resident reported someone had been shining a light on the house and left in a hurry when discovered.

April 28--9:52 a.m. The Grays RIver ambulance was dispatched to aid a woman who was exhibiting abnormal behavior. 2:45 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported someone was using a credit card without permission. 5:13 p.m. An Altoona-Pillar Rock Road resident reported 6,000 lbs. of scrap metal had been stolen; an officer made contact.

April 29--8:07 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a woman having an unspecified problem. 8:16 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a man who was very ill. 8:36 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathalmet woman acting very confused. 8:50 a.m. A Westend resident reported a domestic dispute; an officer made contact. 10:21 p.m. A Salmon Creek resident reported a person was delusional and needed a mental health professional. 10:43 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to Salmon Creek to aid a person with a head wound. 11:32 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an Elochoman Valley woman having chest pain.

April 30--3:07 p.m. A Westend resident reported people were spreading septage on a Grays River farm even though the county commissioners had passed an ordinance preventing the application.

May 1--12:59 a.m. A caller said a person was acting suspiciously and crouching around cars near Cathlamet Food Mart. 11:25 a.m. A timber company representative reported someone had almost succeeded in cutting a logging road gate in half. 3:38 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Middle Valley resident who was very dehydrated. 7:08 p.m. A caller reported a person in a car hit a parked bike on Una Street and left the scene; an officer investigated. 7:38 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported someone had stolen a boat. 10:42 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported being harassed by a person driving up and down the street.
