Spreading septage

A tanker spreads septage on a Grays River Valley farm April 30, four days after Wahkiakum County commissioners, by a 2-1 vote, adopted an ordinance prohibiting the application of the low class biosolid on land in the county.

The spreading ceased after the applicators learned of the ordinance.

The ordinance took effect when adopted, county Prosecuting Attorney Dan Bigelow said Wednesday. He is awaiting investigative reports before deciding what action to pursue.
