State versus Gregory Alan Bain, 47: The defendant pled guilty to a charge of first degree criminal trespass. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail, suspended on conditions, and ordered to pay $500 CVC, $230 court costs and restitution of $13,683.51.

State versus Brain S. Montgomery, 17: The defendant was charged with second degree criminal trespass, and arraignment was continued to May 2 for plea or trial setting. The state alleges that the defendant was among a party of juveniles found at a Jeep stuck in mud on an Elochoman Valley farm. Owners of the farm said people driving four-wheel drive vehicles damaged a new plantation of trees; people at the scene said there was no indication the field was closed to trespass.

Arraignment was scheduled for May 2 for three people arrested April 17 on charges of taking metal from a vacant Skamokawa Valley farm. Dana K. Montgomery, 30, Angel Lee Arola, 37, and Debra Ann Barto, 29, are charged with second degree burglary, third degree theft, and possession of stolen property in the third degree.
