MCT gets ready to perform Pinnochio

The auditions for the Missoula Children's Theatre's production of Pinocchio will take place on April 18 at 3:15 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at J.A. Wendt Elementary.

There are roles available for students from kindergarten through high school senior, and approximately 50-60 students will be cast to appear in the show alongside the MCT actor/director.

Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two hour session. The first rehearsal begins 15-30 minutes after the audition. Some students will need to stay for this rehearsal, depending on the part received. Most students K-5th Grade will be done at 5:15 p.m. each night. A more specific schedule will be handed out on the first night after roles are assigned.

Rehearsals will be conducted every day from 3:15-5:15 p.m. in the multi-purpose room or the high school. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected be able to attend all rehearsal required for their role. Cast members scheduled for the full four and a half hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a sack lunch, dinner or snack.

The performances will be held on April 23 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and will be presented in the high school gym. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students. All cast members must be available for all scheduled performances.

Permission slips must be turned in on or before April 18 along with a $10 participation fee for those students cast in the play. To waive the $10 fee, contact Tina Merz at tmerz@esd112.wednet.edu or 360-957-5368, in order to sign up as a volunteer chaperone for at least one scheduled rehearsal.
