Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
April 30 marks the date for the 35th annual Spring Salad Luncheon held by the Priscilla Circle of the Naselle Lutheran Church.
"Farm Fresh," this year's theme, will be used throughout the event, which will feature a garden area with Alfred Simukka's tomato plants totalling well over 500 and other starts to add to Spring planting. The Lutheran bakers will provide an assortment of products including traditional Finnish fare as well as a signature chocolate bar created by Kathy Hamilton. Quilts constructed by members will be on sale in both the sanctuary and the Craft Room. A variety of salads will be available for a $6 donation.
With the exception of the garden area which will open promptly at 10 a.m., the hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Naselle Lutheran Church is located at 308 Knappton Road.
Monies generated from this event will be used to continue Mission work both abroad and here at home. Last year the Priscilla Circle was able to donate $3,600 to benevolent causes as a result of continued support of this function.
