Paul Mosteller - corrected

Longtime Cathlamet resident Paul Mosteller, 86, passed away March 16, 2011 in Lakewood.

He was born September 24, 1924 in Hayesville, North Carolina to James and Laura (Cothren) Mosteller. He married Blanche DeHart on September 6, 1947; together they moved to Cathlamet in 1967 where she survives him at home.

Paul worked for Crown Zellerbach for over 20 years; retiring in 1985.

In addition to his wife Blanche; he is survived by his sons Herb Mosteller (Anita), Dave Mosteller, Vance Mosteller (Shelly), Eldon Mosteller (Marie) and Rusty Bryant (Pam); his daughters, Shirley Mullins (Tom) and Linda M. Bauman (Rick); a brother, Don Mosteller; a sister, Evelyn Gibby; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A potluck Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Sons of Norway, Norse Hall on Puget Island. Memorial contributions may be made in Paul Mosteller’s name to Cathlamet First Aid Division, P.O. Box 142, Cathlamet, WA 98612 or Community Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632.

Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
