Dance concert to benefit Red Cross

Cowlitz County musicians are sponsoring a swing band dance concert this Saturday to raise funds for the American Red Cross of Southwest Washington.

The Linda Lee Michelet Big Band of Portland will provide the entertainment.

"Linda is a wonderfully talented performer," said Willis Moss, one of the organizers and drummer of the Longview based band, Island Rio. He and other Island Rio members will sit in for the performance.

The event will be Saturday, 7-10 p.m., at the Monticello Hotel, Longview. Tickets are $20 and are available at the door. Dance floor table reservations are available by calling (360) 432-0825 or the Monticello, (360) 425-9900.
