Great White Tail Run art winners announced

Shelby Felton, a senior at Wahkiakum High School has been selected as the 2011 Great White Tail Run art contest winner. The second place award goes to Andrew West. A third place tie is acknowledged for Lillian Bartholmew and Taya Deal. Deaton will receive $25 and a shirt with her design. Art supplies will be provided for the second and third place winners. The prizes will be presented in May at their respective schools.

Honorable mentions are awarded to Morgan Bashore, Kaylin Bingham, Amy Courser, Macie Elliott, Emily Frank, Tatiana Goldinov, Shannon Lewis, Wyatt Parker and Liliana Tsybikov.

The Great White Tail Run will be held May 21 on the Julia Butler Hansen National Wildlife Refuge. The event is sponsored by the Wahkiakum 4-H Council.
