Garage sale at Johnson Park this weekend

Cold, cold, cold! I hope everyone was prepared for it. The sunshine was a Godsend during the days, though, and allowed us to get most of the roofing done on our house. Once it is complete we can concentrate on inside work.

News from Naselle:

School’s back in session after the winter holiday break. Sports calendar for Naselle games coming up this week include: Thursday-girls basketball at Willapa Valley at 5:45 p.m .; Friday-boys basketball at North Beach at 5:45 p.m .; Saturday-girls basketball at home with North Beach at 5:45 p.m .; Wednesday-middle school boys basketball at home with North Beach at 5:45 p.m.

The regularly scheduled Naselle Booster Club meeting will be held on January 11 at 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in what is happening with the school and students, please try to attend this public meeting.

Booster Club calendars are still available at the school office, Okie’s in Naselle and the Rosburg Store in Rosburg. The price is still $4 and benefits our kids.

Other news from the Westend:

There will be another garage sale this weekend at Johnson Park. Teresa Search will have lots of goodies, new and old on sale for your perusal on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Follow the signs up the hill to the old Rosburg School and check it out.

The regular meeting of the Grays River Habitat Enhancement District will be held on Wednesday, the 12th at 6 p.m. in the Grays River Grange Hall. Everyone is invited, refreshments will be served.

I understand that Kenzie Abbot’s new service dog is on her way with her training. Let’s not forget that this training is quite expensive, and she still needs our support. You can still purchase her fund raising cookbooks. For more information call 360 795-0575.

Senior lunches are served at the Rosburg Hall on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. CAP sponsors the meals on Tuesday and Thursday. Pat Potter and her crew cook and serve the Wednesday meal.
