Naselle boys, girls win

The Naselle Comet boys and girls basketball teams picked up wins this week.

The Comet boys held on to defeat visiting Willapa Valley 50-48, a long-time fan reported Tuesday evening.

Leonel Mendoza scored 24 points for Naselle. Rob Baker had 11, Ollie Baker 10, and Nick Strange five.

The Comettes dumped Toledo 50-40 on Monday in a non-league game. Carley Kitzman led the Naselle scoring with 17 points; Taylor Wasmundt had 11, Haleigh See 10, Nicole Tarabochia six, and Kayti Nelson, Clara Sandell and Makenzie Matthews all had two.
