State versus Timothy Everett Gilbert, 39, Castle Rock: The defendant was charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Arraignment was set for January 3. The state says Gilbert was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for speeding inWahkiakum County on December 10. The officer found that the driver was wanted on a felony warrant and arrested him. The owner of the car, an uncle of the driver, gave officers permission to search, and they found drug paraphernalia. They then checked Gilbert’s background and learned he had outstanding warrants of arrest, and they arrested him. Upon searching him, they said, they found drug paraphernalia and two plastic bags with a substance that tested out as methamphetamine.
State versus Alex John Dietrich: The defendant was charged with possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana and attempting to introduce contraband in the second degree; arraignment was set for January 3. Officers said that the defendant, an inmate in the Wahkiakum County Jail, returned from a work crew detail and during a pat-down search, a corrections officer discovered a package of cigarettes hidden in his pants. Inside the package, they found two prescription drug pills.
