At the year's final meeting of the Wahkiakum Historical Society, treasurer Julie Fritsch reported that the museum was approximately $28 in the red. "It was a good performance considering that we have not requested any support from the county for a couple of years, using only volunteer help and public donations," said society president Judy Brawn. "If we had sold two more memorial bricks, we would have been in the black." The museum is closed until the spring but bricks may be ordered by calling Brawn at 849-4452 or any board member. The society is hoping to make the next order and get the bricks laid by the museum's reopening.
