December 5-11 is National Influenza vaccination week. An annual flu vaccine is the best way to prevent the flu and flu-related complications that could lead to hospitalization or death. Influenza is among the most common respiratory illnesses in the United States, infecting millions of people every flu season. This season, health experts across the country are recommending that everyone six months and older get a flu vaccine.
Wahkiakum County Health Department has vaccine available for all ages:
Flu shot for adults $25
Flu shot for children: free.
Flumist (nasal spray) for children: free.
Pneumoccocal vaccine is also available for adults over 65 years of age $25.
