Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
My goodness, it’s nearly December, and another year almost gone. Christmas is almost here.
This was an unusual beginning for our week. Snow, snow and even a little more snow. An early deadline for the week also throws off the norm.
It is really an interesting camp out trying to keep the water pipes from freezing in our motor home. We are actually getting some things done on the home building front though. The framing is nearly done and the roof is covered both upstairs and down with plywood and plastic which means the interior is mostly dry, so work can continue even if it’s chilly.
News from Naselle:
Even though the school days for this week were shortened for the Naselle students, it also looks like they will get at least two snow days for Monday and Tuesday, as more of the white stuff is predicted. There will be no school on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

If you travelled over KM on Sunday, you probably saw lots of vehicles on the side of the road. I had gone in to Longview in the morning to catch up on some shopping before it was supposed to snow. Unfortunately I didn’t shop fast enough and ended up stopping on Bjornsgard Rd. on the east side of KM and chaining up. It’s really amazing the people that didn’t. Several of them should have. My thought is: “better safe than sorry.”

My husband and I are going to travel to Redmond, Ore., to visit with our son and his wife and our daughter and her husband. I guess it’s a good time to take a few days and a break from the house-building process. A good excuse, anyway. Happy Thanksgiving!
