APPLICATION FOR COVERAGE UNDER
THE GENERAL PERMIT FOR
BIOSOLIDS MANAGEMENT
Notice is hereby given that Evergreen Septic has submitted an application to the Department of Ecology to obtain coverage under the General Permit for Biosolids Management. A copy of the general permit can be found at http://www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/swfa/biosolids/pdf/BiosolidsManagement.pdf.
The Department of Ecology has reviewed documentation previously submitted in accordance with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and has determined that for the purposes of this proposal, SEPA requirements have been satisfied.
Evergreen Septic has proposed to treat and land apply septage. Septage would be screened and treated by lime-stabilization at a receiving facility located at 5305 40th Street, Seaview, WA 98644. Treated septage would be used to improve soil tilth and crop production on pasture and hay production sites. Proposed application sites are located near 118 Covered Bridge Road, Grays River, WA 98621. The permit application includes a Site Specific Land Application Plan that addresses the management of septage at these sites. The permit application also includes a General Land Application Plan that addresses how any future land application sites will be identified and managed. Public notice at proposed sites will include a 30-day comment period, and signs will be posted around the proposed sites.
Any person who wants to comment on this proposal or to request a public hearing or meeting must do so, in writing. Comments or requests must be submitted to Kyle Dorsey by December 18, 2010.
If you wish to be included on an Interested Parties list to receive notification of activities relating to this project, please notify, in writing, Claude Noyes. Evergreen Septic will provide written confirmation by certified mail, return receipt requested, to each interested person or organization, that their name has been placed on the list.
