Ducks top Mule JV's

The Wahkiakum Mule junior varsity volleyball team completed its regular season last Thursday with a 3-1 at Toutle Lake, by scores of 14-25, 18-25, 21-25.

The Mules finished the season with a 7-6 record.

"We usually count on tough, aggressive serves, but we had too many unforced errors," said JV Coach Joyce Wilson. "The girls played hard, but Toutle came out on top."

Eva Vik dominated at the net with her blocking and made four kills, Wilson said. Maya Stanley and Hailey Quigley had solid performances as setters, and Rachel Patching was the top hitter with seven kills.

"Delaney Doumit had some diving saves as libero," Wilson said, "and Jem Dyer, Stephanie Moonen and Akaysah Stonebreaker added some kills and good play on the court.

"We had a fun year, and it's always great for the girls to have a winning season," Wilson said.
