Dearmore is the best person for the job

To The Eagle:

I have lived in Wahkiakum County for over 50 years and I have found myself in the position that now is the time to speak up.

I have known Jon Dearmore for over 14 years and know that he is a very respected man in this community. He is a very family and community oriented person.

Jon has been in law enforcement for 20 years and it is his passion. Jon is in law enforcement because he cares about people and justice.

Jon serves various boards within the community. To me, this is a man with compassion for the people of this community.

The incident noted in the letter to the editor is under investigation therefore under the Revised Code of Washington, it is not for public disclosure until completed.

Laura Blain, Troy Norris's sister, wants to know why Jon Dearmore has not implemented a physical program in the past eight years that he has been Undersheriff. What makes us think that he will do it when he is Sheriff? It would be my understanding that since he is not the Sheriff, he can not implement programs until he is Sheriff.

Laura states the people deserve honesty, fairness and accountability from their law enforcement. Well, Jon Dearmore is the person who will give Wahkiakum County that.
