WHS athletes raising funds with donkey basketball

The Wahkiakum High School Athletic Department is hosting donkey basketball games to raise funds.

"Yes, they will be riding real donkeys and playing basketball," said Coach Tiffany Niemeyer.

The games will be held Novemeber 20, 7 p.m. in the high school gym.

In the first game, the high school girls basketball team will take on the high school boys basketball team. Next, the high school wrestlers will play the high school cheerleaders, and the last game will be the middle school wrestlers versus the middle school girls basketball team.

Niemeyer said there is a discounted price if one buys tickets in advance. Contact Cindy Fudge (360-795-3261) or either school office (360-795- 3271) for advance tickets. Prices are, adults, $8. (advanced) or $9 (gate); students(7-12), $6 (advanced) or $7 (gate), and children (K-6), $4 (advanced) or $5 (gate).
