Students seek cell phones to help troops

Students at J.A. Wendt Elementary are collecting old cell phones for the Cell Phones for Soldiers program.

They are hoping to reach their goal target of 500 cell phones, mp3 players and iPods that will help raise money to purchase prepaid calling cards for American troops stationed away from home.

Drop boxes are located at the elementary and high schools, the Cathlamet Fire Hall or the Bank of Pacific.
