Pumpkins to be chucked this Friday

Two businesses will compete with the Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce in this Friday's Punkin Chunkin' challenge as part of the Oktoberfest celebrations.

Terry Barnes Grambo of Financial Network and her husband Roger, and Rob and Diane Stockhouse of Stockhouse's Farm will both build pumpkin chuckers to challenge the Chamber's Funnelator.

Prior to the challenge, the Slow Moving Parade made up of farm vehicles will travel through Cathlamet to the market. Interested participants should meet at the Elochoman Marina before the 2:30 p.m set off time.
