Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Writer urges all to attend next forum

To The Eagle:

The Skamokawa Grange hosting the candidate’s forum for the upcoming November election was a huge success. Chuck Parker is a true “Master of Ceremonies,” and Chuck and the grange members deserve our thanks for organizing and hosting this event. It is estimated that about 100 people were in attendance. There were good presentations by all the candidates and the questions and answers by candidates were lively and informative.

However, there was one outstanding exception to have a complete program. Our District Court Judge Bill Faubion, who is running unopposed on the November ballot, failed to make an appearance.

The next public forum for candidates is October 12 hosted by the Gray’s River Grange and will be held in the cafeteria of the Johnson Park/Rosburg School, opposite the Rosburg store at 7 p.m.

I feel it can be almost assured that all the candidates who spoke at Skamokawa Grange forum will again be present on October 12 to help us make a good decision on our vote.

I and others would like to have Faubion discuss his views and personal assessment of his judgeship.

Questions to and answers from the candidates give us the knowledge to make a good decision. The Gray’s River Grange candidate forum is a must for everyone to attend.
