August 9--10:26 a.m. A caller reported a possible case of abuse at a Columbia Street residence; an officer investigated. 11:28 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a man with heart problems. 12:39 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported someone had shot and killed her dog. 4:45 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported someone was neglecting a dog and cat, which were scrounging the neighborhood for food; an officer contacted the owner. 8:08 p.m. A Suncrest Lane resident reported a subject was trespassing; an officer made contact.
August 10--12:33 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Fern Hill Road resident having a seizure. 1:20 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported receiving threats; an officer made contact. 2:27 p.m. A motorist reported someone had backed into a vehicle in a Main Street parking lot and caused lots of damage; an officer was advised. 3:08 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a man with chest pain. 5:48 p.m. A caller reported a man in a car had been parked outside a residence for long periods of time in the past two days; an officer made contact and learned the man was connecting to wireless internet. 5:53 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported a youth's bicycle had been stolen a couple of days previously. 9:47 p.m. An officer reported pursuing a car going over 70 mph on SR 4 near Skamokawa for a long distance before the car stopped. 10:08 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported a man was harassing other people; an officer was advised. 10:27 p.m. A Puget Island man reported a domestic dispute; an officer made contact.
August 11--8:25 a.m. A Skamokawa man reported someone had popped a tire on his pickup and rummaged through the truck during the night. 1:43 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Middle Valley resident with severe abdominal pain. 8:29 p.m. A woman reported being harassed by a man; an officer was advised. 9:16 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported someone was pounding on his windows the past few nights. 10:15 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported a man has been threatening his wife; an officer made contact.
August 12--1:56 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported someone had stolen four tires and wheels; an officer investigated 3:55 p.m. A Puget Island woman said a man was harassing her sons. 5:27 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet woman with chest pain. 8:20 p.m. Shannon Road residents reported a power outage that was affecting the Grays River Hatchery; Wahkiakum PUD was notified. 11:18 p.m. A Cathlamet woman reported someone had taken her car without permission.
August 13--9:17 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet man with breathing trouble. 12:30 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a person injured in a fall. 2:37 p.m. A Middle Valley resident reported a man with a knife had threatened some dogs; an officer was unable to locate the man. 3:29 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet man with breathing trouble. 5:37 p.m. Crown Camp Road residents reported a power outage; a log truck's stacks had hooked utility lines; utility officials were notified. 8:33 p.m. Officers responded to County Line Park were a group of 35 people had been drinking and five were fighting; it was determined the event took place on the Cowlitz side of the county line, and Cowlitz deputies took over the investigation.
August 14--10:14 a.m. A motorist reported a contractor had lost a tractor off a trailer at the intersection of SR 409 and South Welcome Slough Road; no one was injured, but the tractor punched a hole in the pavement; the road department and an officer were notified. 11:09 a.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported water was bubbling out of the ground near a municipal water meter; the town utility crew was notified. 11:29 a.m. A Puget Island resident reported low water pressure; utility officials were notified. 5:46 p.m. A caller said young people were jumping off the highway bridge in Skamokawa; an officer made contact. 6:30 p.m. A caller said a mother had put hot sauce into the mouth of a child at a Cathlamet residence; an officer investigated. 7:03 p.m. A caller said people in two speed boats were zooming along Elochoman Slough near the marina and had capsized a small boat.
August 15--5:50 a.m. A caller reported a man burst into a Cathlamet house and made threats at the occupants; an officer investigated and made an arrest. 10:19 p.m. Puget Island and Cathlamet firemen responded to a fire that destroyed a house on East Little Island Road.
