Extension offers canning classes

WSU Wahkiakum County Extension is teaching a summer food preservation class series free of charge to local youth and adults.

Registration is still open for two more classes in the series: Canning Tomatoes and Salsas this Saturday (August 14); and Canning Meats on August 28. Register by calling the Extension office at 795-3278. Classes are free, but participants are encouraged to bring their own pint jars for canning.
