St. James Family Center offers preschool, ECEAP

September is coming soon and St. James Family Center still has openings in their preschool programs for three year old and four year old preschool children.

Sliding scale fees are based on a family’s income. Class room times are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for four-year-olds and Tuesdays and Thursdays for three-year-olds.

The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) in Cathlamet also has openings. This program provides a free comprehensive preschool program for income qualifying families. This is an opportunity for children to interact with their peers and participate in a classroom setting blended with other preschool children. The program provides meals, bus transportation, health and social services, parent education, and individualized learning experiences for children, including those with special needs. Children must be three or four by August 31. Call Charl Melton, MaryAnn Nelson or Vicki Willette at 795-8612 for more information on both programs.
