Buzzard's Breath Chili Cook-Off almost here

The Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce is looking for cooks needed to spend a day at the Elochoman Slough Marina at the Seventh Annual Labor Day “Buzzards Breath” Chili Cook Off.

The Chamber is sponsoring the September 4 event and they are looking for more chili teams to join in. There is no cost to enter.

For those who don't cook, there will be plenty of chili to go around as wells as a tortilla throwing contest with prizes for kids, live music, a beer garden, and the Cow Plop Raffle.

Cooking starts at 10 a.m. and the public will start tasting at 1 p.m. with judging at 3 p.m.
