NOTICE OF CLOSING OF

VOTERS' REGISTRATION

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the provisions of R.C.W. 29A.08.140, that all precincts within the boundaries of Wahkiakum County, Washington, will be closed for transfer of voters' registrations from one precinct to another precinct within Wahkiakum County and for transfer of voters' registrations from one county to another county within Washington State, after the 19th day of July, 2010, said day being thirty (30) days prior to Tuesday, August 17, 2010 which is the date of the 2010 Washington State Primary in Wahkiakum County. Monday, August 9, 2010, is the last day that voters, not currently registered in Washington State, will be permitted to register prior to said Primary Election.

 WITH THE EXCEPTION that, pursuant to the provisions of R.C.W. 29A.08.145, voter registration is possible during the period between July 19, 2010, and August 9, 2010; but persons doing so must register in person at the County Auditor's office during regular hours of business, must not be currently registered to vote in the State of Washington, and will be allowed to vote an absentee ballot.

 VOTING AIDS TO ASSIST elderly and disabled persons will be available the 30th day of July through Election Day, the 17th day of August, at the Wahkiakum County Auditor's Office, 64 Main Street, Cathlamet WA.
