Red Cross looking for Wahkiakum volunteers

An Open House Volunteer Orientation for those wishing to volunteer for the Red Cross will be held on June 17 at 7 p.m.

The orientation will introduce potential volunteers to the different departments of the Red Cross and the roles they play in the community.

Wahkiakum County specifically needs Disaster Action Teams that can respond to and assess an emergency situation in the county and communicate to the Red Cross the immediate needs of that situation. All training is provided free of charge.
