Wahkiakum Community Network is accepting Requests for Proposals for direct service programs. Total funds expected to be released are $27,850. The funding source is $17,850 provided by state grant funds (Washington State Family Policy Council grant) and $10,000 provided by pass-through federal grant funds (Department of Commerce Community Mobilization Grant).
Applications must focus on preventing or reducing youth substance abuse, youth violence, and/or increase community mobilization. Wahkiakum Community Network provides this funding to further its goal to improve the lives of children and families in Wahkiakum County.

The original application and six copies must be mailed to Wahkiakum Community Network, PO Box 629, Cathlamet WA 98612 or dropped off at Wahkiakum County Auditor’s Office at 64 Main Street in Cathlamet. Applications must be received by 4 p.m. June 30, 2010.
