Local athletes earning medals by finishing in the top eight at the state 2B track meet last week were Naselle Comette Nicole Laney, third in pole vault, 8'3", and Wahkiakum Mules Blaine Land, fourth in discus, 114', and sixth in shot put, 32'7"; Brett Chaput, fourth in discus, 149'2", and Shay Bingham, fifth in pole vault, 11'9".
