Planting begins on community garden

Wahkiakum Health and Human Services, WSU Extension, 4-H and the Town of Cathlamet are inviting the public to join in the planting of the community garden at Erikson Park this weekend.

The planting will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday; for those interested in having their own plot to tend, planting will begin at 1 p.m on Sunday. Some plant starts and seeds are available but participants are asked to bring their own tools.

The WSU Extension's 4-H Media Club will be on hand to film activities. Dress for the weather; light showers are forecast.
