County gets new Noxious Weed Control Manager

Brandi Boyington has been appointed Noxious Weed Control Manager for Wahkiakum County.

She began part time work with the county on April 20 and also works with Cowlitz County's Noxious Weed Program as a weed inspector.

Boyington began working with Clark County's Noxious Weed Program in 2003, including two years of field work controlling weeds in county wetlands and stormwater facilities as well as private properties for special grant projects.

She will be in her office at the WSU Extension at 25 River Street in Cathlamet on Monday mornings from 8 a.m. until noon to answer questions. She can be reached at 795-3852 or on her cell at 360-442-9081.

The first board meeting will be held May 17 at 6 p.m. at the River Street locations.
