Incumbents win GR election

Grays River Valley landowners returned incumbents to the Grays River Enhancement District board of commissioners in an election Tuesday.

The boards three incumbents each defeated challengers. Vote talleys were:

Postion 1: Delvin Fredrickson 380, Kurt Steinke 186.

Position 2: Poul Toftemark 386, Teri Satterlund 204.

Position 3: William Karwoski 417, Karen Bertroch 147.

Wahkiakum County Auditor Diane Tischer said there were 630 cast out of a possible total of 942 votes. Voting was restricted to property owners who reside within the district.

Votes were also allocated based on the size of a landowner's holdings.
