State versus Michael Williams, 55: The defendant entered not-guilty pleas to charges of delivery of a controlled substance, morphine sulphate, and delivery of marijuana. A June 30 trial was scheduled.
State versus Sean K. Carter, II, 17, a juvenile: The defendant pled guilty to two counts of harassment and a count of fourth degree assault. He was sentenced to 15 days in juvenile confinement and ordered to pay a $75 Crime Victim Fund assessment and to perform 40 hours of community service.
State versus Walter R. Wirkkala, 32: The defendant pled guilty to two counts of unlawful hunting of big game. He admitted shooting two elk on November 4, 2008, so other people could tag them. He was ordered to serve 365 days in jail, with 355 suspended on conditions, and to pay a $540 fine, $230 court costs, a $2,000 civil penalty, a $500 crime victim assessment and $1,308 public defender's bill.
