Port 2 to hire new manager

Port District No. 2 may hire a new manager this week.

Port Attorney Jennifer Hanigan announced Tuesday that after an executive session meeting last Friday, port commissioners voted to offer a contract of employment to Robert (Bob) Robinson of Ilwaco.

The commission authorized Hanigan and Commission Chair Brian O’Connor to conduct contract negotiations.

Acceptance of the offer is pending, said Hanigan. The contract would begin April 1 (today).

An internet search on Robinson revealed he had previously worked for the Port of Ilwaco and the Port of Shelton.
