Crab feed a huge success

To The Eagle:

On behalf of the Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce, I would like to express our gratitude to all who helped make the recent Crab and Oyster Feed another big success.

The profits will be used to help continue funding our annual fireworks show, the Bald Eagle Fest, the Christmas Lights, the Neewollah celebration, the beautification of downtown and a local scholarship program.

A hearty thank you goes to everyone who worked on this project. To name everyone by name is not possible but our hats are off to all of the businesses who contributed prizes for our raffle; to Mike Brennan, Aaron Roberts, Kyle Hurley and the FFA members for cooking and serving oysters (the kids also helped set up and tear down); to all of those who helped serve; to Wahkiakum Schools for the use of its chairs; to the Sons of Norway for the rental of their hall; to Stanley's Sanitary Service for the use of their dumpsters; to the staff at the Bank of the Pacific for selling tickets; to Lori Bergseng for coordinating the raffle and to those who actually purchased tickets in support of our event.

Thanks to everyone! We can't do this without you!
