Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:
February 22--10:03 p.m. A person reported a stolen car abandoned in the Grays River area; officers investigated and found the car had been stolen from a Sacramento, Calif., resident.
February 23--10:16 p.m. A person reported someone was sitting in a vehicle behind a Rosedale business; an officer checked and found the person was using a power supply for a personal computer.
February 25--10:17 a.m. A Barr Road resident reported a theft of metal. 11:18 a.m. A Greenwood Road resident reported someone in a tan vehicle appeared to be going through mailboxes. 10:22 p.m. A caller reported two cars had collided on SR 4 at Little Cape Horn; no one was injured; the state patrol was notified.
February 26--10:59 a.m. Wendt Elementary School requested an officer to help with a juvenile who was out of control. 12:08 p.m. A caller reported a case of child sexual abuse; a deputy is investigating.
February 27--12:39 a.m. A caller reported hearing people yelling on River Street; all were calm when an officer arrived. 2:09 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a man with rapid pulse. 2:50 p.m. A caller reported someone had driven a vehicle into a property marker. 5:09 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a woman with abdominal pain. 8:35 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a woman with stomach pain. 10:42 p.m. A caller said someone had stolen items off a boat moored at the Elochoman Slough Marina.
February 28--12:13 p.m. A caller said someone had stolen car parts from an Elochoman Valley address. 1:56 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an East Valley resident with tightness in the chest. 6:02 p.m. A caller said people were tearing fields at the Cathlamet schools with motorcycles; a rider was identified. 6:32 p.m. A Little Island man reported being threatened by a neighbor in a dispute over a dog; an officer made contact.
