Groups presenting movie for Valentine's Day

As part of nationwide screenings to mark Freedom to Marry Week, PFLAG Lower Columbia and Longview United Methodist Church present a special Valentine's Day screening of Inlaws & Outlaws this Sunday, 3 p.m., at the church, located 2831 30th Avenue in Longview.

The screening is free and open to the public.

Inlaws & Outlaws weaves the true stories of singles and couples, both gay and straight, into a collective narrative to explore emotions and relationships.

PFLAG--Parents, Friends and Family of Lesbians and Gays--is a support group that promotes the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends. PFLAG provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. The Lower Columbia Chapter holds meetings at the Longview United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month and at 5 p.m. at St. James Family Center, Cathlamet, on the second Sunday of each month. The February meeting in Cathlamet is cancelled so people may attend the movie.
