December 28--10:49 p.m. An Ostervold Road resident reported hearing a car alarm outside his house, and when he went to check, he heard voices, possibly from prowlers.
December 29--7:52 a.m. The ferry Wahkiakum reported having to shut down because of unscheduled maintenance. 3:43 p.m. A Middle Valley resident reported two dogs belonging to someone else had wandered in and attacked the caller's cat. 8:03 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet woman with chest pain. 9:51 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid another Cathlamet woman with chest pain. 11:11 p.m. A deputy responded to a Puget Island residence where a domestic disturbance was occurring.
December 30--3:49 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported that a foster daughter had run away. 6 p.m. Little Island residents reported dirt in their water; Wahkiakum PUD was notified. 8:31 p.m. A motorist reported two hay bales were on SR 4 at the Elochoman River bridge; an officer removed them.
December 31--12:01 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island woman possibly having a heart attack. 3:08 a.m. A motorist reported that a black car had knocked over a stop sign at the intersection of SR 409 and West Little Island Road; the caller and another person moved the sign out of the road. 4:14 a.m. A caller said someone had removed a speed limit sign on Risk Road. 10:47 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet man who was very ill and needed to go to a hospital. 2:23 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island man with stomach problems. 11:01 p.m. A caller reported someone at a Cathlamet business had violated a restraining order.
January 1--1:15 p.m. Deep River residents reported flooding from storm surge and seasonally high tides; one family evacuated, and at 1:19 p.m., a caller reported hearing a woman screaming for help from a house; rescue personnel responded. 3:10 p.m. A motorist reported a stop sign had been taken down at SR 4 and Nelson Creek Road. 7:30 p.m. A Naselle gas station reported someone in a white pickup had driven off without paying for gasoline; officers didn't spot the vehicle. 11:06 p.m. A caller reported a black pickup had struck a red pickup parked along Main Street and left the scene. 11:25 p.m. A Rosedale woman reported a man was outside her house and pounding on the door and making threats; an officer was advised.
January 2--2:36 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a woman who was very ill. 8:54 p.m. A motorist reported sliding mud was blocking a lane of SR 4 east of Grays River. 3:31 p.m. A Salmon Creek resident reported a fallen tree was blocking a lane of the road; the county road department was notified. 8:54 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island girl with chest pain.
January 3--1:38 a.m. An officer making a security check reported finding doors unlocked at Wahkiakum High School; the superintendent was notified. 8:53 a.m. Shannon Road residents reported a power outage; Wahkiakum PUD was notified and found that a fuse had burned out. 9:52 p.m. An Ostervold Road resident reported a duck hunter was nearby and firing shots toward a residence. 5:44 p.m. A caller reported a slide was blocking part of the Beaver Creek/Old Cathlamet road in Cowlitz County; Cowlitz road department was notified. 11:16 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an Elochoman Valley woman with abdominal pain.
