Get a new look at a classic story this Saturday, when the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) and more than 50 local students present The Princess and The Pea. The local cast features Jonaka Heppler as the Princess and MaKenzie Gott as the Pea. The four Leprechauns will be played by Ariele Retherford, Connor Emlen-Petterson, Delaney Doumit and Beyden Heppler. Also featured are the Royal Family Members of Riverdom, King and Queen Size who will be played by Kylee Thomason and Sidney Ashe. The Royal Family of Glacierdom, Storm King, Snow Queen and the Prince will be played by Dallas Gott, Samantha Smith, Tayler Nicks. Jack Frost, the troublesome cousin of the Prince will be played by Ben Vasion. The wannabe princesses include Kaylee Bryant, Savannah Burdick, Marissa Longtain and Kennedi LaBerge. The citizens of Riverdom will be played by Anna Kuhn, Katie Stacey, Mariah Mogush, Cole Hauff, Nate Hargrove, Rory Heywood, Charly Childers, Tessa Tietje, Kaylin Bingham, and Rose Carosa. The citizens of Glacierdom will be played by Amber Silva, Charlie Ashe, Althea Faul, Lily Kolditz, Grayci Thomas, Bryanna Peek, Mya Kirzy, Nick Nicks, Katie Johnson and Destiny McGowan. To complete the ensemble, Breanna Daniel, Megan Leitz, McKenna Longtain, Teylor Sauer, Taya Deal, Matt Hargrove, Cadence Guest, Carly Nelson-Grasseth, Sara Buennagel, Landon Luce, Elizabeth Most, Damion Curl, Jake Leitz, Novella Hokkanen, Kyli Prestegard, Jansi Merz, Matalyn Longtain, Camille Kolditz and Sophia McKinley will appear as the dancing Dust Bunnies. Chief of the Leprechauns will be played by MCT Tour Actor/Directors Lynda Mondragon and Jeffrey Staso. Cody Hauff, Nevan Bingham and Kaleb Stensland-Vantress have served as Assistant Directors throughout the week. Fern Fey will be the accompanist.
The Princess and The Pea will be presented at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the high school gymnasium. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults and are available at the door.
