Mule runner Jori McEntire placed 39th in 26.57.
"For the Mules to finish second out of 14 teams was a huge accomplishment," said Mule Coach Mike Riley. "I was very impressed with the team's determination to run hard for 3.1 miles.
"We have a home meet October 15, and I would like to invite everyone to see how good this team is. They are impressive to watch. Most of the race can be seen from the high school stadium."
The Mules head to White Pass for a meet today (Thursday). They run at Millersylvania State Park October 8 and host their own meet October 15, 3:30 p.m., at Wahkiakum High School.
