Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The Wahkiakum Community Foundation (WCF) has announced the prize for the Fourth Annual Garden Party Raffle.
Bob and Celeste Crisman from Gallery of Diamonds in Longview have designed and donated a one of a kind necklace, which was inspired by Wahkiakum county.
Illustrating the strong fishing and timber roots of Wahkiakum, the jeweled pendant contains a tree made from Tsavorite garnets, while the Columbia River is displayed through different colored blue sapphires. The finishing touch is a pair of seagulls made from 14k white-gold.
Born and raised in Longview, Bob Crisman has always felt strongly about supporting his community and is a huge fan of the educational projects and historic preservation work performed by the foundation.
Having donated the raffle prize for the last four years, Gallery of Diamonds is the perfect example of how local businesses can give back to the community.
Each raffle ticket is $20 and can be exchanged for a glass of champagne at the WCF Garden Party scheduled for August 7 from 6-9 p.m. at the Julia Butler Hansen Heritage Center in Cathlamet.
To purchase tickets in advance visit the Bank of the Pacific in Cathlamet, or contact the WCF office at 360-795-0419.
